Miami Jewish Film Festival

"The Miami Jewish Film Festival (MJFF) was established in 1996 and has grown into a core cultural program for South Florida’s vibrant arts landscape. In 2013, with the hiring of new Festival Director Igor Shteyrenberg, Miami Jewish Film Festival entered an era of expansion and commitment to artistic quality.

MJFF's programming voice, unique among Jewish film festivals, has gained recognition for its numerous discoveries and prize winners. Annual attendance and media impressions have grown exponentially with the Festival's original audience increasing from 4,000 in 2013 to 30,000 in 2019. Official Festival venues also expanded to Regal South Beach Cinemas, Miami Beach Cinematheque, Coral Gables Art Cinema, O Cinema, Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center, Temple Beth Am, Miami Beach JCC, Aventura Arts & Cultural Center, and Miami Theater Center." -MJFF

Shabbat Meals in South Florida

When tourists are traveling throughout the Miami area during peak times, such as Yeshiva Week and other times throughout the year, Shabbat dining can be a concern when someone doesn’t have access to a kitchen, or else doesn’t want to cook. It’s helpful to know where to find and how to arrange kosher Shabbat meals, especially when restaurant and catering scenes vary from year to year. Therefore, Yeah That's Kosher helps provide the community with easy solutions to fulfilling Shabbat Dinners at various locations around the Miami area. There are many options to choose from listed with detailed information on their webpage that are worth checking out for the next Friday evening to come.

La Fabrica @lafabricapty is an excellent Israeli-Moroccan restaurant in Panama City where a guy named Itai prepares the food and a guy named Chai prepares the beer. According to food critic @gilhovavisrael these beers are some of the best he's had in his 56 years.

The photographed dish is the Mega Shakshuka, made with precision and high quality ingredients.

Next time you find yourself on a plane to Panama, this should definitely be on your restaurant list!
