Hotel Beethoven is a family owned hotel located in the vibrant and cultural Naschmarkt, just opposite the Theater an der Wien and a few minutes walk from the Vienna State Opera, Musikverein, and Museumsquartier. Surrounding the hotel are traditional Viennese restaurants and coffeehouses, vibrant streets filled with history, and shops.
Each floor of the hotel was designed to be unique and tell a different story while representing Venetian culture. On the first floor, each room is dedicated to one of the great literary figures (many of whom were Jewish) who used to meet in the UNESCO Viennese coffeehouse. In these rooms, you will find their quotes, biographies, and copies of their publications. Their books can also be found in the hotel’s Papegeno Lounge.
There are six floors, each dedicated to great artists, musicians, designers, dancers, and conductors. In addition to filling the hotel with history and culture, guests are invited each weekend to a classical piano or cello concert in the Papegeno Lounge. Though it might be tempting to stay and enjoy the hotel services, you are encouraged to get out and explore the beautiful city and sites that surround the hotel. Hotel Beethoven will give you a relaxing place to stay, a cultural experience, and a history lesson on some of the city’s most memorable artists and historical figures.
