Eddie’s Hide-a-way was founded in 1979 by Eddie Hetz, the chef and owner. Eddie was born in 1940 in New York and immigrated to Jerusalem in the early 1970s, where he met his wife Batya. Together, Eddie and Batya opened a hamburger restaurant. They loved Jerusalem, but the magical sea fascinated them, so they picked up everything and decided to go to Eilat. They bought the restaurant with a goal to make people enjoy food. Eddie and Batya found a small place in a not-so-nice neighborhood and their belief was that the food would make the place and not the other way around. In the restaurant, you will find classic dishes alongside updates inspired by Eddie.

Pundak Neot Smadar

Pundak Neot Semadar is a restaurant, cafe and a shop that carries all of our local organic products grown and made in the Kibbutz. It sits on the road leading from Mitzpeh Ramon to Eilat (Rt.40), in a shaded green oasis surrounded by the desert. It is a good point for a stop on the long road for snack and refreshment. Here we serve light vegetarian meals, combining cheeses and juices produced and grown on the organic farm of the kibbutz, along with good coffee, homemade cakes, and ice cream. A choice of Neot Semadar’s organic products are sold here: wine, olive oil, pickled olives, juices, jams and dried fruit. These are all produced from fruit grown in the pollution-free desert environment and processed in small plants, paying careful attention to organic ingredients and given a homemade touch. We offer several kinds of cheese and yogurts made from fresh goat milk. Pasture twice a day in addition to organic food and good care contributes to the quality of the milk and cheese.You are invited to stop and relax here, and enjoy a good meal at the Pundak. You may sit inside the rustically decorated dining area, air-conditioned in summer, or outside in the shaded garden aside a small pool. From here you may continue for a visit at Neot semadar itself, on the self guided tour. Here you can view the large oasis where the food is grown and processed, and visit the Arts Center which is an unusual monument in terms of architecture and desert climate building. Inside you’ll visit the workshops and gift shop selling artworks made by the members of the kibbutz. One of the members will guide you in this tour and you’ll hear about this unusual community first hand.

Yusuf's Tent

Yusuf's Bedouin Tents in Eilat offer warm Bedouin hospitality that includes freshly baked traditional pita bread, home-made white Labane cheese, and the sounds of the desert. It is a great place for families and can hold up to one hundred people to experience true hospitality. Yusuf's Bedouin tent pampers the guests who come to it with traditional Bedouin dishes as is the custom of the Bedouin tradition. The atmosphere in Yusuf's Bedouin tent is very warm and the sounds of Darbuka with the happy Bedouin rhythms enrich the atmosphere of the place.

Omer's

Omer's is run by the amazing Chef Hershkovitz, who previously ran the kitchens of a few of the leading restaurants in the country. He opened Omer's in Eilat in 2015, naming the restaurant after his daughter. Chef Hershkovitz specializes in what they like to define as 'chef meals in a sandwich'. Omer's Sandwich Bar Eilat offers a variety of original and creative chef dishes that are influenced by all the cuisines of the world, and all are served in varied sandwiches consisting of several types of bread, including prana, challah and sourdough breads. Omar's kitchen prepares dishes everyday from all the finest food from the local markets. At Omar's, they want visitors to be satisfied, so you can also have the dishes in a pan or on a plate, and you will also find vegetarian and vegan dishes on the menu. The team at Omar's invests a lot of resources in order to provide you with an affordable and perfect dining experience. At Omar's you will find art signed by Jasmine Shoshani, which gives the restaurant a retro look that corresponds with the cheerful and colorful eighties. The music in the place also fits the general concept and adds joy to spending time at Omer's. Additionally, at Omer's, you can enjoy chef events and workshops for children. Also, you can order sandwiches for groups and schedule meals for businesses on a regular basis from the website.

Tzachi Sandorsi has spent his entire life striving to preserve his parent's legacy, and to spoil the public with the flavors of an authentic Moroccan kitchen. Tzachi took this concept to the next level, and the food at Lalo is served in all it's splendor. There is a wide variety on the menu, including spicy salads, vegetable soup, couscous, and fragrant meat stews. Not only is the food always exceptional, but the exotic atmosphere and daily hafla (a lively party with a fantastic spread) are worth making a special trip to Lalo!
