The Palomar

The Palomar is a Soho restaurant serving ethnic foods with inspirations from Jerusalem, but influenced by mixes of cultures from North Africa and Southern Spain. This unique influence, combined with the restaurant’s contemporary approach, creates a dining experience unlike any other. The restaurant features a 16 seat kitchen bar with a view of the kitchen and marble floors that lead to an intimate back dining room. This space has dark oak panels lining the walls, a reclaimed parquet floor, banquette seating, and a skylight flowing with natural light.

Nopi

Nopi is a Soho-based restaurant with a menu full of bold flavors and platters full of salads. It is owned by an Israeli-born chef who believes that the menu should change with the seasons. However, a few signature dishes, like the courgette and manouri fritters, coriander seed-crusted burrata with slices of blood orange, and Valdeón cheesecake, are always available. Nopi has a great wine list with classic options and organic wines, as well as rustic varieties from the Mediterranean.

Paprika Mediterranean Bistro & Bar

Paprika is a small, but cozy bistro in Vinohrady, Prague, offering fresh Israeli cuisine the way the restaurant’s founders were taught to cook it by their families in Israel. The restaurant opened in July 2017 and continues to provide its signature meals such as Hummus, Sabich, Shawarma, Shakshuka, and Falafel. They also make their own laffa and pita bread, as well as traditional Jerusalem bagels. Paprika is vegan-friendly and imports most of their high quality ingredients directly from Israel, which are also for sale in their online shop. At Paprika, you will find people of different cultures and backgrounds sharing their dining experience side-by-side. By importing their spices and ingredients from Israel, Paprika ensures authentic and outstanding Israeli food for you right in Prague.

Le Sud

One of the first things most customers notice when stepping into Le Sud, is their colorful display of Middle Eastern and Northern African cuisine. While it is a great restaurant for those wanting take-out, many people also stay to dine and enjoy the inviting atmosphere.  They have several hummus varieties and add unique twists to their other traditional dishes.

Hummus Bistro D&A

For tourists and locals looking for authentic Middle Eastern cuisine in the center of Amsterdam, Hummus Bistro is the place to be. From hummus and falafel to shakshuka and eggplant, this restaurant has something for everyone- vegetarians and meat eaters alike. At Hummus Bistro, you will enjoy the traditional flavors of these Middle Eastern dishes as well as a delightful presentation, all while enjoying the simple, yet relaxing dining atmosphere.

Hamsa Restobar

With the hopes of bringing the rich flavors of Tel Aviv and the Middle East to Kraków, Hamsa Hummus was opened in 2012 by 3 non-Jewish Polish friends who were inspired by Israeli culture and cuisine. Do not let the lack of Israeli or Jewish ownership deter you, the food is authentic and delicious. The vibrant menu pays homage to traditional Israeli cuisine, featuring shakshouka, challah toasts, and typical breakfasts of breads, spreads, salads and cheeses.

On the weekends, Hamsa Hummus is known for its phenomenal breakfast buffet where you can indulge on fresh hummus, muhammara, cheeses, granola, veggies and more. For lunch and dinner, you can build your own mezze platter or choose from a selection of super salads or soups that are available a la cart. Hamsa Hummus also cooks a wide range of spiced meats and provides a handful of main vegetarian options, so there’s truly something for everyone on the menu. Make sure to save room for something sweet at the end of your meal. Hamsa Hummus makes traditional malabi, knafeh, and baklava, which are best enjoyed with a cup of hot Bedouin coffee.

The bright decor of Hamsa Hummus creates a fun, colorful culinary experience that pays tribute to the traditions of the Middle East. Their commitment to using fresh, seasonal products means every dish is delicately crafted to provide guests with the best experience possible. They kindly cater to a range of diets including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free, which can be difficult to accommodate for with traditional Polish cuisine. While Hamsa Hummus does not serve local food, it is a local restaurant that provides the community with unique flavors of a different culture, giving both locals and tourists food for thought.

EIVGI´S

Located in Berlin’s Schoneberg neighborhood, this historically wealthy district has become home to one of the city’s favored Israeli restaurants, EIVGI’s. Visit this casual eatery for kosher Israeli cuisine cooked personally by the restaurant’s chef and owner, Shalom Eivgi. Considered by some as one of the best Israeli restaurants in Berlin, EIVGI’S serves up all of the Middle Eastern and Mediterranean classics like hummus, falafel, shakshuka, and a range of salads (and don’t forget the amba!).

Wash down your meal with a potent Turkish-style coffee. EIVGI’S also caters for big events like weddings, bar mitzvahs, birthdays, and so on. Shalom Eivgi, the restaurant’s chef and owner, grew up in the Yokne’am moshav and comes from a religious family. He moved to Berlin with his wife in 2003 and tooday, he puts his own spin on his mother’s traditional Israeli recipes at EIVGI’S. Shalom brings personality to the establishment, greeting guests with a big smile on his face and preparing the food himself.

Yafo in Berlin

Along with countless other delicious restaurants based in Berlin’s trendy Mitte district, Yafo Berlin has made some impressive waves since its opening just one year ago. While the interiors are seemingly bare at first glance, it is the lively owners, music, diners, and of course delicious food that create the energy of this hot spot. Most of the dishes on the menu are vegetarian Middle Eastern bites you would catch back home such as oven-roasted cauliflower, matbucha, date honey and mahalabiya.

If you’re in the mood for an authentic meal and experience, this is the place to go! Be sure to call for a reservation during winter months, as it fills up fast without extra outdoor seating. The restaurant’s fitting name was inspired by the co-owners, Israeli-born Shani Ahiel and Berlin-based Felix Offermann. Once they moved back to Berlin after meeting each other in Tel Aviv, the two decided to bring the Israeli way of life – and food – to Berlin’s bustling gastronomic scene.

Restaurant Feinberg’s

Even in Berlin, you can get a taste of the Middle East with Restaurant Feinburg’s Israeli Specialties which focuses on traditional sephardic cuisine. From mouthwatering spiced meats to innovative vegan and vegetarian dishes, Feinburg’s offers a bit of everything – making it a growing staple in everyone’s Berlin culinary tour. Born in 2015 on the streets of Berlin, Feinburg’s has been feeding locals and tourists alike with delicious delicacies from Israel. Created by Yorai Feinburg, a former ballet dancer from Jerusalem, this restaurant is a must-try in Berlin. Feinburg’s thrives in the Schöneberg to this day, despite the occasional anti-semetic rant – one of which went viral in late 2017.

Falafeleria

Falafeleria has one main purpose: to serve a warm pita bread bursting with flavors and stuffed with the freshest vegetarian falafel, veggies, and hummus. Every pita is made special, and you get to choose from a variety of toppings to make your falafel unique. Choose from their fresh hummus, Sjug, Amba, tahini, vegetables, and herbs, most of which are prepared in-house. Their hummus, on the other hand, comes from their sister restaurant, La Hummuseria. Like their sister restaurant, Falafeleria uses only real ingredients, never adding preservatives or additives, inspired by the middle east for their strong, high-quality flavors. This hip restaurant recently opened in the beginning of 2018 and is located in the heart of Madrid in the Malasana neighborhood.
