EASY ISRAEL TOURS Pty Ltd

 WELCOME TO EASY ISRAEL TOURS

Our niche tours are especially designed for slow walkers or seniors at a relaxed and sensible pace. The comprehensive itinerary has minimal standing, steps, slopes or rough ground.

You won’t have to worry about struggling to keep up with a regular fast-paced tour.

We run our exclusive tours in spring and fall, the most comfortable seasons to visit Israel. The temperature is around 70F.  Our aim is to provide you with a memorable, once-in-a-lifetime vacation and experience in the most special place on earth.

It would be an honor for us if you joined us on tour!

The hotels rooms have air con, TV and ensuite bathrooms with a walk-in shower. Hotels we use are frequented by locals for their own vacations, family celebrations
and business meetings. If these hotels don’t give good service and food, it will be around Israel on social media within days and give them a bad name. We all want quality as well as comfort, don’t we? Not the big soul-less tourist hotels.

Huge buffet breakfasts and evening meals are included in the tour price. Fresh from the kibbutzim, there are plenty of delicious choices for everyone’s dietary requirements.

Top, licensed, Jewish guides inform, inspire and lead us to authentic, interesting and often less-known sites as well the most desired places to visit.

Legends Tours & Travel, our agent in Jerusalem, book the hotels, transportation, entrances to sites, etc. Between the guide, Trish and Legends we have over 100
years of experience.

Starting in Tel Aviv with drinks, dinner and a good night’s sleep, we travel up to Caesarea and beyond for three nights in the Galilee/ Golan Heights, two nights over Shabbat at Ein Bokek on the Dead Sea and of course the jewel in the crown, Jerusalem for four nights.

The full itinerary can be viewed on the ‘Jewish Tours’ page on EasyIsraelTours.com

Many guests like to arrive a day early to wander around Tel Aviv, enjoy the Mediterranean beaches and get over the jetlag.

Adding one day in Jerusalem at the end of the tour is popular. You won’t want to go home anyway!  Visit the shuk, explore parts of the Old City not included in the tour, have lunch at the King David hotel… Possibly with new tour friends.

We can book the pre and post hotel nights for you to save another hotel change.

Talking of changing hotels…

There are only 3 hotel changes on our tours and a full porterage service, so you don’t have to move luggage from your room to the bus.

The luxury bus has air con, Wi-Fi and speakers so you can hear the guide. Instead of giving us the information at each site while we stand for 15 minutes or so, our guide give us most of their information while we are traveling in-between places. Saves time…and our bodies! There are more seats on the bus than we need so you can move around.

Seniors sometimes bring an adult son or daughter. The slower pace is not frustrating as they also enjoy the relaxed itinerary. There are opportunities for the more active guests to walk further in some places or have a swim or walk before the evening meals.

It would be an honor for you to join us!

Girona: Jewish Heritage Guided City Tour and Museum Visit

Beging in Plaça de Sant Feliu, with the guided tour through the Jewish neighborhood of Girona, one of the best-preserved in Europe. This district is located in the heart of the city and is full of ancient remains from its Roman and Medieval past. Known locally as “the Call”, this area was home to 1,000 inhabitants during the Middle Ages, making it one of the most important Jewish communities in Spain’s history.

As you explore the narrow streets of the Jewish Quarter — hometown of Nahmanides, the Medieval Kabbalistic philosopher, physician and Sephardic rabbi — you’ll visit the spots where the city’s 3 synagogues were located.

During the guided tour you will find out all about the customs and traditions of the Jewish people who lived here, as well as the tools that they used, and the design of their houses. You’ll also visit the Museum of Jewish History to learn about their way of life.

Your guide will then lead you around the labyrinthine streets while explaining the history of the expulsion of the Jews in 1492, an act that ended 600 years of coexistence. After 3 hours exploring the Call, your tour will come to an end, and you’ll have newfound knowledge of the profound influence that the Jewish community left in Girona.

Jewish Heritage Tours in France: Private Encounters with History

France harbours one of the oldest and most vibrant Jewish communities in the world. In fact, after Israel and the US, the French Jewish population is the globe’s largest. From the old “pletzl” in Paris, where generations of Jews have lived, worked and worshiped for centuries, to Provence where they at certain points found refuge during times of persecution, there are so many inspiring and moving sites to visit: places imbued with both cultural treasure and immense human tragedy. We’ll take you on an entirely unique, personally tailored adventure around one or more regions. This will allow you to discover countless historical and present-day riches– and return home with lifelong, treasured memories.

Visit The Jewish Alsatian Museum

“Artefacts and places recount history better than books” – this sentence welcomes you as you arrive at the Jewish Alsatian Museum. Located in the former 19th-century synagogue of Bouxwiller, the museum is unique in its kind. It highlights the culture of Jews in Alsace and recounts their history, telling of everyday life through the ages with their Christian neighbours. Visitors follow a trail around the museum with its original, varied presentations ranging from the reconstitution of life-size scenes and miniaturised tableaux using new technology. Ceramic models, architectural models, life-size figures, dolls in period costume and video films alternate with antique artefacts, which are all the more rare as much of the Jewish heritage disappeared during the Holocaust.

The Jewish Heritage of Haguenau

La Synagogue de Haguenau was built in 1820-1821 is in neoclassical style. It was destroyed during the Occupation and damaged at the end of the Second World War. It was renovated and found all its splendor in 1959. Many vestiges from the old synagogue which were in a house in Rue du Sel, are on display there. This ancient synagogue was built in 1492, then fell victim to the fire in 1676, and was then rebuilt. It was an active synagogue until 1820, when the current synagogue was built.

Le Jewish cemetery of Haguenau is one of the most oldest in Alsace with burials dating from the Xth century. The types of stelae are different according to the times and according to the religious role of the person buried. These stelae are interesting to analyze and comment on in particular the front part on which we find epitaphs as well as sculptures. This cemetery has an area of approximately 1 hectare and 60 ares and hosts 3200 graves.

The cemetery was enlarged in 1766 and 1872. It was the victim of vandalism during Second World War. Walls and doors were gutted, and graves were also knocked down or destroyed. As a result of this, nearly a thousand graves are missing today.
