Buenos Aires Private Jewish Tour by Car/Van

During this 6 hours days we will learn about the inmigration of jewish in Buenos Aires, their lifestlye by then till now. Visiting the Jewish Area called Once. The Jewish Museum. The former 2 areas bombed by terrorism : Ex Embassy of Israel Bulding and the current rebuilt Jewish Federation Building wtih its sorrounding areas to discover details besides the frontis of AMIA building (outside). We will walk the religous area with kosher food . And we will visit the reform synagogue Libertad and the conservative synagogue Paso. Having the advantage of going with transportation (car and driver or van and driver : both professionals and with insurance for passengers inside that vehicles), we can move on to other area to visit an important mural about the Holocaust and other important mural inside a Church. We will learn about the general history of Argentina, Buenos Aires, and the starting of the jewish comunity. Depend on our rithm we can add other places or stops and or rithm of the stops. Thanks!

Kuhnle Tours

In this charming town, close to Lorraine, was Louis-René de Rohan a new family spent his castle build. Decorated with stately and seemingly boundless luxury wearing the sandstone castle (fr. Château des Rohan) at 140 m with its long front garden to the unique cityscape Savernes. Some might argue that he perceives the “magic atmosphere” of the city: According to legend, the African water saver is to be sanctified and have healing powers. But the many tangible treasures of the city, make a visit to the city recommended.

The town is characterized by many old half-timbered houses, of which especially the Maison Katz with its delicate carvings from the 17th century is to be called, in which you can also dine with a clear conscience and cost a good drop. Particularly beautiful is the Rose Garden (fr. Roseraie) in the western city. This was created in 1900 and is home to about 450 different kinds of roses, which can be seen between mid-June to mid-September.

Just 5 km outside the city walls stands the ruins of the mighty castle Haut-Barr Castle on the Mountain of Haut-Barr about Alsace. The fantastic view owes ruin the nickname “eye of Alsace”. The castle was built around 1170 and severely damaged during the 30 Years War, after a renewed building in the 18th century, the castle fell into ruin but. In the connected timber-frame building is a nice restaurant, where you can fortify yourself after visiting.

Girona: Jewish Heritage Guided City Tour and Museum Visit

Beging in Plaça de Sant Feliu, with the guided tour through the Jewish neighborhood of Girona, one of the best-preserved in Europe. This district is located in the heart of the city and is full of ancient remains from its Roman and Medieval past. Known locally as “the Call”, this area was home to 1,000 inhabitants during the Middle Ages, making it one of the most important Jewish communities in Spain’s history.

As you explore the narrow streets of the Jewish Quarter — hometown of Nahmanides, the Medieval Kabbalistic philosopher, physician and Sephardic rabbi — you’ll visit the spots where the city’s 3 synagogues were located.

During the guided tour you will find out all about the customs and traditions of the Jewish people who lived here, as well as the tools that they used, and the design of their houses. You’ll also visit the Museum of Jewish History to learn about their way of life.

Your guide will then lead you around the labyrinthine streets while explaining the history of the expulsion of the Jews in 1492, an act that ended 600 years of coexistence. After 3 hours exploring the Call, your tour will come to an end, and you’ll have newfound knowledge of the profound influence that the Jewish community left in Girona.

We’ll take you on an entirely unique, personally tailored adventure around one or more regions. This will allow you to discover countless historical and present-day riches– and return home with lifelong, treasured memories.

Visit The Jewish Alsatian Museum

“Artefacts and places recount history better than books” – this sentence welcomes you as you arrive at the Jewish Alsatian Museum. Located in the former 19th-century synagogue of Bouxwiller, the museum is unique in its kind. It highlights the culture of Jews in Alsace and recounts their history, telling of everyday life through the ages with their Christian neighbours. Visitors follow a trail around the museum with its original, varied presentations ranging from the reconstitution of life-size scenes and miniaturised tableaux using new technology. Ceramic models, architectural models, life-size figures, dolls in period costume and video films alternate with antique artefacts, which are all the more rare as much of the Jewish heritage disappeared during the Holocaust.

The Jewish Heritage of Haguenau

La Synagogue de Haguenau was built in 1820-1821 is in neoclassical style. It was destroyed during the Occupation and damaged at the end of the Second World War. It was renovated and found all its splendor in 1959. Many vestiges from the old synagogue which were in a house in Rue du Sel, are on display there. This ancient synagogue was built in 1492, then fell victim to the fire in 1676, and was then rebuilt. It was an active synagogue until 1820, when the current synagogue was built.

Le Jewish cemetery of Haguenau is one of the most oldest in Alsace with burials dating from the Xth century. The types of stelae are different according to the times and according to the religious role of the person buried. These stelae are interesting to analyze and comment on in particular the front part on which we find epitaphs as well as sculptures. This cemetery has an area of ​​approximately 1 hectare and 60 ares and hosts 3200 graves.

The cemetery was enlarged in 1766 and 1872. It was the victim of vandalism during Second World War. Walls and doors were gutted, and graves were also knocked down or destroyed. As a result of this, nearly a thousand graves are missing today.
