Haifa walking tour from Haifa Port

The Haifa walking tour with Joe S. starts by taking a short walk through DownTown Haifa to coffee shops in the rejuvenated old port warehouse area. From there, the group takes a cable car to Mt Carmel (all seven stations). After that, the tour goes to a view of the Haifa Bay and/ or the Museum of Japanese art.

Next on the tour, is the Mane Katz art gallery and coffee shop on the view. From there, everyone is taken to the Haifa Zoo to socialize on the grass, benches, and play park games. On this tour, we’ll visit Ein Kerem’s hidden spots—places that tourists don’t know about—where the view and surrounding nature are simply breathtaking. As someone who grew up here, I look forward to guiding you through the alleys of my childhood and taking you to the homes with the best food in the village. We’ll meet the local shepherdess, visit the home that was built around an ancient olive oil press, taste Yemenite breads that were kneaded with love, and finish on a sweet note with pralines from the local chocolatier. We’ll peek into the distinctive houses, hear unbelievable stories from the locals, and, of course, enjoy the fruits of their labor. Tours change based on the hosts we visit, but always include three tastings.

Following the Forerunner, Private Tour From Jerusalem

Two churches – Visitation Church where Mary learned that she’s bearing child, and St. John Ba Harim Church where the immerser, John the Baptist was born – two churches that comemorate two events that gave Christianity two of the most ancient hymns – The Magnificat and Benedictus.

And in between these two churches we will learn about the obsession of purity of that time, of unique individuals that came to live in Ein Kerem at the western part of Jerusalem following the carisma of John. These include Major General Charles Gordon, the Ratisbonne brothers, two Jews who converted to Christianity and formed the Sisters of Zion Order, Eliszabeth, sister in law of the last Russian Zar, all followed the forerunner’s place of birth and where he grew as a child, some learning about him and others setting up convents and churches.

We will walk through the picturesque alleys of the village that has not changed much during the last 2000 years and attempt to better understand John’s childhood.

The Old City of Be’er Sheva has been enjoying a cultural and artistic boom, in the last few years, with museums, galleries, street exhibits and artistic projects, some even becoming a tradition. Among the wealth of artistic happenings in the ever-evolving city, the street art scene stands out the most, glorifying the old walls and giving them a happy and luminous street gallery vibe.

Discover Be’er Sheva’s street art scene through a colorful and vibrant tour, in which we will explore amazing murals, interactive street games and extraordinary art projects. We’ll walk among the picturesque streets and impressive historic buildings, discuss the artistic development in the Old City and the many artists who “took over” it and turned it into a real gem. Hear about the “Walls in the Old” (“Kirot Ba’Atika”) project – a colorful street gallery exhibiting the local art to the public, and see “Paint in the Old” (“Tzeva Ba’Atika”) project – a series of beautiful murals decorating various building fronts around the city.

We’ll pass by the experimental project featuring giant thinking games, stationed along Mordei HaGetaot street and enjoy a specially exciting game; visit a wall decorated with amusing statues at an incredibly reconstructed Ottoman house, by a local artist; gaze at the thousands of colorful lampshades hanging over Kakal street. To complete your artistic experience, we offer you to visit the Artists House in the Negev, the various galleries and the fascinating museums active around the city.

Zichron Yaakov, Carmel Winery, and Ramat HaNadiv

A private tour through Zichron Yaakov’s top attractions and famous Carmel Winery. Just a few minutes drive from Ramat Hanadiv, the tour starts at the beautiful Carmel wine shop located just across the street from the wine factory. The tour concludes with a wine tasting and further discussion on how to identify a quality wine not just by its taste but also its aroma in the glass. In between there is a stop at Ramat HaNadiv and lunch at a wonderful Italian restaurant, Manuellas, located just off the Midrehov (Pedestrian Street in Zichron Yaakov). The private tour starts by driving along the coast road to Caesarea. Made famous by Herod, he built a Roman City in honor of Caesar Augustus. On your private tour you will explore the ancient ruins with your personal guide, explaining the history surrounding the aqueducts, homes, stores, hippodrome, Herod’s palace, temples, warehouses and the ancient port.
